Affinity+Co are proud to support the JAB Old Boys Rugby, with sponsorship for their beanies for the younger rugby players.

The Timaru Lions do an amazing job around our region, and Affinity+Co are only too happy to support them with this awesome Bike Skills Park at Caroline Bay.

Each year Affinity + Co hit the streets to help with the Cancer Society’s annual fundraising appeal.  This is generally the last Friday in August each year and is a time to help raise money for cancer research and more.  If you would like to know more about the amazing things the Cancer Society does then click here

Affinity + Co are proud to support and partner with Aoraki Foundation.  This amazing organization invests donated money and distributes the income generated by those funds to charitable causes and community projects within the South Canterbury district.  For more information on the Aoraki Foundation click here

Mucolipidosis also known as Sialidosis, is a rare, inherited disorder.  The condition is classified as a lysosomal storage disorder (LSD).  Lysosomes contain specific proteins (enzymes) that are responsible for breaking down and recycling molecules such as fats and sugars. Individuals with a lysosomal storage disorder lack one of these necessary enzymes or do not have one of these enzymes in sufficient quantities to break down molecules for cells to function properly.

In these disorders, genetic variations disrupt the normal activity of lysosomes in human cells. Mucolipidosis affects many organ systems, including the nervous system.

Affinity + Co are proud to support Cure Mucolipidosis, a non-profit organization which now has access to developing gene therapy, which is the only possible cure for Mucolipidosis.

Affinity + Co are proud to support the 60 hour Buildathon for “I am Hope”.  Organized by local builder James South, over a period of 60 hours a house was built on the grounds of the Ara Institute, auctioned off and all money raised went to “I am Hope”.

Affinity + Co organized and manned a free BBQ on site, with meat donated from Burgers Butchery, drinks donated from The Warehouse, and the BBQ loaned from Temuka Transport.  It’s great when communities come together to support such a great event like this.

But the true hero’s of the day, were the tradies who worked through the day and night to get the house finished
